Showcasing powerful software capabilities, in a pair of good looking shoes.
The project was to create a shoe design, which was then created digitally using Creo Parametric 3D software, complete with all parts that would be found in a shoe design on-market. The task was to render this realistically once completed too, to mimic the colours, textures and materials of the design accurately.

The shoe design was created as a sports running shoe design, focused on a target market of active, fitness enthused users. The purpose of the project was to challenge and learn more skills on Creo Parametric and to improve skills in rendering softwares. The main focus was understanding, using Creo correctly and understanding each piece of the design and how it fits together.

I took on the brief by sketching ideas, researching similar products/shoe brands and figuring out the different parts that make up the whole shoe design. Most of the work done was in Creo, as creating the individual parts was the most time consuming part and required a large amount of problem solving too.

The project taught me a lot about using Creo Parametric to create designs with every individual part fitting together into the final product and understanding why/how these parts did too. I also used rendering softwares, which again improved my skills in this, especially in trying to create realistic soft fabric texture. This improved my skills within Creo and Keyshot greatly.
